The Cleveland Catholic Worker Community
Deeply convinced of the radical ruth of the Gospel, we strive to follow a Catholic Worker philosophy. emphasis is placed on the corporal works of mercy (identifying with and ministering to the homeless, poor, sick, and imprisoned) and on radical action together against the causes of poverty and oppression (ie Capitalism). We seek to be nonviolent and oppose all war and answer Jesus' call to be peacemakers. We recognize the need to continually clarify our thoughts through prayer, reflection, dialogue, and action.
We are forming a loving and caring resistance community with a strong spiritual base which will enable us to share our lives with those who are broken, not just for their benefit but ours as well, knowing that we are all sisters and brothers.
